My research interests lie in molecular physiology and innate immune responses, with a particular focus on how genetic variation influences inflammatory signalling, host defence, and human physiology. I am interested in looking beyond molecular associations to understand their functional significance — how changes at the genetic and molecular level translate into cellular responses, physiological function, and ultimately health and disease. Alongside molecular research, I am also interested in physiology education research, particularly approaches that make scientific learning more active, engaging, and meaningful.
